I am Scott Roseveare, Mortgage Broker in California. This is typically the first question people ask when they find out that I am a mortgage broker. As your California Home Loan Expert, I truly enjoy chatting about interest rates and the extremely dynamic home loan industry – to say the least!
Answering the ‘interest rate’ question in 10 seconds isn’t as easy as it sounds. There are so many aspects of home financing which influence interest rates. Credit scores, down payment, loan types (fixed vs. variable), job changes, employment situation (employed vs. self-employed), risk-tolerance, and many more factors come into play when determining which type of loan is right for any given person.
My clients often tell me that one of my biggest strengths is the ability to find the best loan that fits each client’s unique needs at the lowest rate available. This trait is closely followed by my enjoyment of my chosen profession!

I am the president of UMAX Mortgage based in Redwood City, California. At UMAX Mortgage, I have a staff of approximately 25 mortgage professionals. My mortgage and home loan support staff is ready to find you the right loan at the right price.
My personal home loan team consists of myself, a dedicated loan processor, and transaction coordinator. Together we ensure a smooth and pain-free lending process for my clients.
Helping first and second-time home buyers finance their dreams of home-ownership is where I specialize. Over a decade of experience in the mortgage and home loan industry enables me to focus on residential lending to ‘prime’ borrowers. With access to a network of over 50 banks, I can provide extremely competitive interest rates and am able to customize mortgage solution unique to each customer’s specific loan requirements and financial situation.
Prior to entering the mortgage industry, I spent eight years in technology and software sales. My experience in sales provided me with transferable skills which helped me succeed in the mortgage industry and enabled me to train others in the mortgage industry to be successful.
I have a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting and am a California native to the Bay Area.
